MONDAY, FEB. 23rd - FLUTOPIA

Flutopia is a trio of musical friends who came together through their love of Brazilian music and Jazz. Ryszard, Sheila and Flavio are also members of the sextet Mango Upstart which plays a mixture of Brazilian, Afro Cuban and Latin Jazz. Originally, from Brazil, Flavio has been playing bass for 20 years. He has performed in many Ottawa groups ranging from Jazz to R&B and country. Sheila and Ryszard have been playing together for 8 years and both have been attending local Jazzworks summer workshops for the past 6 years. With guitar, bass, flute, voice, and hand percussion, Flutopia is the perfect medium for the gentle rhythmic sounds of Bossa Nova, Samba and Smooth Jazz.

Come and start the week off right with the soothing sounds. You don't want to miss experience, diversity and a whole lot of flutes. Magic.
