2009 Canadian Festival of Spoken Word Winners "The Recipe" will be conducting four-part workshops every Wednesday from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PMThe Workshops will deal with all of the most important aspects of spoken word poetry, and will be presented in a way that engages participants on a variety of levels.
Participants explore different mechanisms for unleashing their inner-most reflections and feelings in a seminar-style, communal-based learning techniques. This part of the workshop will get participants engaged with the connection between emotion and creation, and encourage writers to challenge their personal shadows, and get over their inhibitions.
In the third part of the workshop, Open Secret will get you familiar with the technical aspects of writing. By instructing writers on aspects of language such as grammar, syntax, punctuation, and word-choice, Open Secret teach you how to perfect your expressions and get them ready to be delivered on stage.
At the end of the workshop there will be a period for general questions.
