"remember those days when we could get to Rideau and back with less than a two dollar bill?"

"think not of the past, rubbish...you know how love makes people wanna run...run not to where you've been, but where you've never gone. I pay my toonie plus a loonie for now, but i'm sure of myself like i'm sure that this
summer, I'm one quarter short of a phone call"

The SnakeCharmers feat. Open Mic Jam Sessionz

As if we didn't get enough of the SnakeCharmers nearly a month ago for their release party. We've invited them again to satisfy the craving of those left just without enough last time. The SnakeCharmers are a fusion of Indian classical (sitar) melodies and African beats and chants. With roots stemming from Burundi and Northern Uttranchal, this group forms a unique and ever-changing blend of cultural music that is sure to entise the senses. Accompanied by Brooke the beautiful bellydancer, the SnakeCharmers will electrify any crowd and charm the soul of any music lover.

The Otesha Project brought to you by Lisgar's Collegiate Institute's H-Team

Otesha's triple-H program adresses environmental and social justice issues through amusing, educational theatre bringing messages of hope, awareness, and action.
The play is intended to get youth to create change both locally and globally, through conscious consumerism and every-day environmental improvements.

Ottawa's Lisgar Collegiate Institute started up a triple-H team this year, and we've enjoyed our experience so much we want to contribute to the Otesha project in any way we can. All proceeds will go to Otesha.

Join us for a night of music, poetry, and art, brought to you by Ottawa's youth generation. Our Otesha team will also be performing the play for you throughout the night!
