Earth Run Fundraiser

On Earth Day we will be gathering at Umi Cafe to host a benefit for
EarthRUN. The benefit is to raise awareness about the event and raise donations.

EarthRUN Ottawa is a sporting event which is taking place at Vincent Massey Park on Sunday April 26th. The event features a 5km run or 1km walk where teams can participate to raise money for local and national environmental charities. More information can be found at the website:
http://www.earthrun.org

The Earth Day celebrations will begin at Umi Cafe at 6pm and will run
until about 9pm. We ask that people bring donations for the EarthRUN,
a donation is not required to attend the event but it is recommended.

dj JD will be playing some funky and loungey break beats to sooth the
spirit and put a little extra kick in your fair trade coffee. Please
bring some friends and come out to celebrate Earth Day, while helping
to raise awareness about the EarthRUN event!

Please Bring Donations.

What better way to introducec an artist to you, then to give you a self written "about me" blurb.
That's how everyone should do it.

"I was introduced to music at a young age by my father. Whether listening to him play guitar, getting lost in his endless record collection or throwing quarters in the juke-box that sat in the corner of the antique shop he owned. Growing up in a small town in Southern Ontario I listened to everything from country western to Hendrix. Receiving my first guitar at the age of 8 I began to develop a love for the blues and folk music that has continued to influence my writting to this day. The biggest impact on me musically though came when I moved to the West Coast of Canada. Starting off in Vancouver... crashing on floors, couchs and anywhere else I could lay my head for a night, feeding off the indie scene in coffee shops and smoke filled bars I found around every corner. Heading North for the winter I made my way to Whistler, I found myself playing more music then ever before. Surrounded by musical talent I began joining many friends on stage at open mics. Soon after I began writting and performing my own material and have never looked back. Now living in a small town in the British Columbia interior I continue to write & perform music. Stay tuned for more..Thanks for stopping by. PEACE"
